Welcome to The West Grantham Church of England Primary Academy, supported by the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust.
Our primary aim is to deliver an excellent education that empowers children and equips them for an aspirational future of life-long learning. ‘To champion and rejoice in those we serve, creating an environment where excellence is achieved and potential fulfilled’.
We stand up for what is right and are not afraid to learn from our mistakes as we push ourselves to be the very best that we can be.
“I can do all things
through Christ who
strengthens me”
Philippians 4:13
We have unwavering
confidence in ourselves, in
others, and in our
capacity to succeed.
“All things are possible to
him who believes”
Mark 9:23
We are dedicated and
devoted to, serving
others, achieving
excellence and celebrating
success.
“Be strong and
courageous. Do not be
afraid; do not be
discouraged, for the Lord
your God will be with you
wherever you go”
Joshua 1:9
We have unlimited hopes
and aspirations so all
can achieve their full
potential.
“The integrity of the
upright guides them”
Proverbs 11:3
We are honest, ensuring
that our actions are
guided by strong moral
principles that we refuse
to change.
“Love is patient, love is
kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not
proud. It always protects,
always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres”
1 Corinthians 13:4 & 7
A special celebration assembly was held in school today.
We gathered to celebrate Mr Thomas’ achievements that he has accomplished since joining WGPA!
Mr Thomas' journey was shared with us all, from his childhood to his route into sixth form education at Priory Ruskin Academy. Inspire Plus shared their journey and highlighted the truly amazing moments that he has demonstrated during his apprenticeship at WGPA.
Mr Thomas is leaving us next week to start a new adventure, he will be going to university to train to be a teacher. We all wish him every success and look forward to hearing about his next steps. He will always be a valued member of our WGPA family.
A thank you to his mentor Mr Kitchen and all at Inspire Plus! ... See MoreSee Less

Today, in history, the students in 3/4W were plunged into Victoria Britain. We have been learning about the reign of Queen Victoria and about how, during her reign, school became compulsory for 5 to 10 year olds. However, school then, was very different to what we know now. It was very strict, classroom was dark, children used to write on slates and any nonsense was dealt with by the use of the cane. It was an enlightening afternoon. I think I can confidently say, none of the children would like to go back in time. - Mrs Walledge ... See MoreSee Less
