Welcome to The West Grantham Church of England Primary Academy, supported by the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust.
Our primary aim is to deliver an excellent education that empowers children and equips them for an aspirational future of life-long learning. ‘To champion and rejoice in those we serve, creating an environment where excellence is achieved and potential fulfilled’.
We stand up for what is right and are not afraid to learn from our mistakes as we push ourselves to be the very best that we can be.
“I can do all things
through Christ who
strengthens me”
Philippians 4:13
We have unwavering
confidence in ourselves, in
others, and in our
capacity to succeed.
“All things are possible to
him who believes”
Mark 9:23
We are dedicated and
devoted to, serving
others, achieving
excellence and celebrating
success.
“Be strong and
courageous. Do not be
afraid; do not be
discouraged, for the Lord
your God will be with you
wherever you go”
Joshua 1:9
We have unlimited hopes
and aspirations so all
can achieve their full
potential.
“The integrity of the
upright guides them”
Proverbs 11:3
We are honest, ensuring
that our actions are
guided by strong moral
principles that we refuse
to change.
“Love is patient, love is
kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not
proud. It always protects,
always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres”
1 Corinthians 13:4 & 7
The Reception children had a wonderful time visiting Belton House as part of our Transport topic. We travelled in the minibus, walked around the grounds, visited a church and even had an exciting train ride. Visiting the adventure playground is always lots of fun and some children were very brave when climbing, crawling and sliding around the equipment. We also had time to go on our very own bear hunt as we found a bear hiding in the middle of the maze! As always, we were very proud of all the children and so pleased that they enjoyed their visit. - Mrs Thacker ... See MoreSee Less

The Nursery children had a fantastic time using all their senses to investigate fruit and vegetables. They used a variety of tools to explore the food by cutting, mashing and juicing the fruit and vegetables. The children were able to describe what they could see, smell, taste, hear and feel and some were very brave when tasting new food. - Mrs Thacker ... See MoreSee Less

Wow! What an ambitious group of children we have in Y3/4. The children were challenged to write a Magical Map story of no more than 100 words for a competition with the chance to be published. The Young Writers company loved the entries so much, they have chosen these children to have their stories published in a new book. How amazing! We are very proud of them all. - Y3/4 Team ...
