Welcome to The West Grantham Church of England Primary Academy, supported by the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham Multi Academy Trust.
Our primary aim is to deliver an excellent education that empowers children and equips them for an aspirational future of life-long learning. ‘To champion and rejoice in those we serve, creating an environment where excellence is achieved and potential fulfilled’.

We stand up for what is right and are not afraid to learn from our mistakes as we push ourselves to be the very best that we can be.
“I can do all things
through Christ who
strengthens me”
Philippians 4:13

We have unwavering
confidence in ourselves, in
others, and in our
capacity to succeed.
“All things are possible to
him who believes”
Mark 9:23

We are dedicated and
devoted to, serving
others, achieving
excellence and celebrating
success.
“Be strong and
courageous. Do not be
afraid; do not be
discouraged, for the Lord
your God will be with you
wherever you go”
Joshua 1:9

We have unlimited hopes
and aspirations so all
can achieve their full
potential.
“The integrity of the
upright guides them”
Proverbs 11:3

We are honest, ensuring
that our actions are
guided by strong moral
principles that we refuse
to change.
“Love is patient, love is
kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not
proud. It always protects,
always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres”
1 Corinthians 13:4 & 7
This term has seen the return of 'Chess Club' during our enrichment afternoons on Tuesdays. We have a real range of absolute beginners to young 'Grand Masters'! The addition of the giant chess set, from Grantham Chess Club, has been an incredible addition to the sessions!

Both staff and children took part in a special ceremony this morning to remember those who fought and died for their country during wartime. The special assembly was timed to coincide with the two minutes silence marked across the world on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Children were invited to wear their scouts, cubs, beavers and squirrels uniforms and they were also joined by Mrs Walledge, who was a serving member of the Army, who also wore her medals during the day.
Many children had made poppies and poppy wreaths to decorate an arch in foyer of the school, and thank you for your kind donation to the Royal British Legion by purchasing various poppy items such as wristbands. ... See MoreSee Less

This morning, we were fortunate to have a live Q&A session with a member of safety staff from Network Rail.
They told us that to be an engineer you have to work hard in school especially in maths and have the courage to make mistakes to continue learning. They also told us how to be safe near railways and never go on the track even if we drop something down on it. They asked us to have the courage to say no to our friends if they wanted us to play near a railway. We know only to go to a station and always stay behind the yellow line until a train stops.
The motto for Network Rail is ‘Everybody home safe everyday’.
